Stephen Krasner Earns New York Working Families Party Endorsement for Town of Newburgh Supervisor

“This campaign is about restoring confidence in local government and making sure decisions are made in daylight, not behind closed doors,” Krasner said. “With the support of the Working Families Party, we are building a coalition ready to move this town forward.”

TOWN OF NEWBURGH, NY — Stephen Krasner today announced that he has earned the endorsement of the New York Working Families Party (NYWFP) in his campaign for Town of Newburgh Supervisor. The Working Families Party is a grassroots political organization committed to building a New York that works for working people — not political insiders.

“The Working Families Party has long led the charge for the fundamentals that make a community strong — housing people can actually afford, childcare families can rely on, healthcare that doesn’t bankrupt working households, and the protection of immigrant neighbors who are part of the fabric of our town,” said Krasner. “I’m deeply honored to have earned their endorsement and proud to stand with a movement advancing a true Working Families Guarantee — not as a slogan, but as a governing commitment.”

“For too long, Town Hall has operated with a lack of transparency and accountability that has left many residents feeling shut out,” Krasner added. “After 10, 15, even 20 years of the same self-serving political culture, it’s time to turn the page. Our town deserves leadership that works in the open, welcomes scrutiny, and puts the public interest first — not leadership that protects the status quo.”

Krasner emphasized that the endorsement reflects a shared commitment to building a Town of Newburgh where working families can afford to stay, local businesses can grow, and government operates with integrity and purpose.

“This campaign is about restoring confidence in local government and making sure decisions are made in daylight, not behind closed doors,” Krasner said. “With the support of the Working Families Party, we are building a coalition ready to move this town forward.”
